As Project Manager for the Gift Home I have the opportunity to work not just with a great organization but with top designers in the Ottawa area. This is my first experience working with Habitat for Humanity NCR and I must say I am impressed with the organization. Habitat has a wonderful knowledgeable staff that strives for the best in all that they do. The team that has been put together for this special project is the “best of the best” when it comes to design. Working with the existing structure the donated home has come with its own struggles and challenges. I have renovated many homes in the Ottawa area over the years, winning many awards for my work, and I still find exciting new challenges with-in the walls of the Gift Home. It is my true pleasure and honor to be working with Michael Enger, Habitat’s Site Manager. He, his skills, and years of experience have been an asset to this project.
We could not complete this project with out the help and generous support for all the suppliers, trades and volunteers. I am daily “blown away” at how people have stepped up to the plate to helped out make this project a success. The high quality specialized material donated, the skillful trades, and community volunteers giving of there precious time and energies. You are why we look so good.
I look forward to continue to manage this project and the associated relationships of all team members with utmost professionalism, sensitivity and integrity. Through the mix of good sense, aesthetics and creative talent, combined with technical knowledge and my organizational skills I trust the final product will in ways exceeded expectations. Come out in September and see what the wonderful things team has created!
